Fundraising is an integral piece of the overall budget. Revenue generated from collected tuition fees and the parish subsidy do not cover all operating expenses. This year, our fundraising target is $250,000. There will be different programs and events running throughout the year affording families the opportunity to help support St. Francis Xavier School. Our biggest fundraiser, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to SFX, is Building Our Future. Our goal is 100% participation!

Please take some time to review all the fundraising programs we offer.

Building Our Future

Goal: $130,000

Donate Now

Timing: Year Round

One of the main priorities of St. Francis Xavier is to allow any family that wishes to educate their child within our halls the opportunity to do so. In reality, the cost of educating a child at a Catholic school comes at a cost and often with financial sacrifice for many families. Keeping tuition at a viable level, which allows families to send us their children, is a must. In turn, a gap is created between revenue collected from tuition and the actual costs of educating our children.

Building Our Future is a fund that has a 100% return rate to SFX. We must collect at least $130,000 this year to close this gap. We are looking for 100% participation this year – regardless of the donation amount, we are looking for each and every family to support BOF.

Families can choose to support this fund in a variety of ways: electronic fund transfer; credit card; or check.   Each family will receive a BOF letter outlining the tuition gap specific to their family and a suggested donation amount. There will also be instructions on how to initiate matching donations – we hope every family investigates this option! Please consider establishing an automatic monthly payment as a quick and easy way to donate to Building Our Future. For example, if you arrange to have $100 withdrawn from your account each month beginning in September and ending in June – you will have donated $1000!

Biennial Auction

Goal: $160,000 ($80,000 per year)

Timing: Spring of every other year – next Auction will be Spring 2018

We host an Auction every other year to not only raise a significant amount of money for SFX, but to also bring the community together and celebrate! The proceeds collected from the Auction are spread across two years. $80,000 will be credited to the fundraising budget for 2016-17 and another $80,000 for the 2017-18 school year. Without the tremendous effort of the chairs and countless volunteers, the Auction would not be a success. Please consider sharing your time and talent with FrancisPalooza 2018!

Golf Outing

Goal: $20,000 – GOAL REACHED!

Timing: Every Fall

What a great day September 9th was! A big THANK YOU to the event chairs Kristy  & Tim Rhatigan and Zoe & John Grad and all the volunteers who made this event possible!

This event generates approximately $20,000 in revenue each year and is run by a small group of dedicated volunteers. Even if you do not golf, there are a few different ways to help support this great event via various forms of sponsorship and raffle tickets. Adults who aren’t able to golf during the day are invited to attend a dinner that evening. This is an incredibly fun event run that raises great money for the school!

Book Fair

The Book Fair will run November 1st & 2nd at the Main Campus. This is a great event which serves as a fundraiser and as a shopping opportunity! Anderson Books has a wide variety of items, in addition to books, available for purchase. One special touch is the teacher wish list: a list of books teachers are “wishing” to receive as classroom gifts which families can purchase and gift to the classrooms. The Book Fair is also a great event where families can stock up on holiday gifts!
